Lanny Jesse Davis

Lanny J. Davis is a co-founder and partner of Davis Goldberg & Galper PLLC, a Washington, D.C. law firm, and a co-founder of the strategic communications firm Trident DMG. His practice combines legal representation with crisis management and public relations counsel for corporate clients, individuals, and institutions facing legal and reputational exposure. Davis served as Special Counsel to President Bill Clinton, where he handled press and congressional inquiries arising from investigations involving the White House. He drew on that experience in his memoir, Truth to Tell: Tell It Early, Tell It All, Tell It Yourself (1999), and returned to the subject in Scandal: How "Gotcha" Politics Is Destroying America (2006). Over his career he has practiced at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and McDermott Will & Emery, and founded Purple Nation Solutions before establishing Davis Goldberg & Galper in 2016.
